It has truly been a blessing to spend the past month studying God's Word with some of the KFBC college girls! We have all grown and been challenged to step up our walk with Christ through studying scripture and sharing what God has been teaching us. Stepping Up is a six week study, but we don't have that much time. Therefore, God impressed upon my heart the idea to have a weekend "retreat" to provide these ladies the opportunity to get away from the distractions of this world and focus completely on God during week 5 of the study (which was completed all in one day). Friday night consisted of discussing week 4 of the study and watching one of the accompanying videos. Saturday involved going to a local garden to pray and read God's word, which was followed by time at Kennesaw mountain. The last day of the week 5 study was completed after dinner at my house. I was humbled and blessed as the night was closed with the girls sharing what God had taught them during the weekend and about how they had grown. I am so proud of these college ladies because they could have been anywhere else doing whatever they wanted, but they chose to spend the weekend emmersed in God's Word! What an example! I'm so glad that the retreat went so well. That was such a good idea that you had to do a "retreat" to finish it up in time. What a blessing for you and the ladies! Thank you for leading these ladies to "Step it Up." They will never be the same.
